Track 1 is allowed for junior and senior high school students to participate.
Track 2 allows college students (undergraduates and above) and practitioners in social related fields.

Registration

  1. All players must be registered in the management system of biendata. Each person can only register one account and users who violate this rule will be barred from participating in all competitions on the platform.
  2. Before participating in the competition players need to read the competition rules in full and click “Accept and Join” to participate in the competition after fully understanding the competition rules.

Team

  1. After successfully participating in the competition each player needs to choose to participate in the form of individual or team in “My Team” (It doesn’t affecting subsequent team operations).
  2. You can enter the registration email of the individual or team (leader) you want to invite in the “My Team” interface and submit a team application.Individual contestants will be added to your team as team members after accepting the invitation; After a team leader accepts the invitation, all members of the team will join your team as team members.
  3. Each team has a maximum of 3 players.
  4. Each team must have a team leader and the team name is up to 10 characters.
  5. Each player can only participate in one team at one time. Once a player is found to participate in multiple teams by registering multiple accounts every of the relevant team will be disqualified.
  6. The system does not support team splitting or dissolving operations. Please take full consideration before making a team operation.
  7. The deadline for team up in this competition is March 15, 2020 (UTC: 10:00, Beijing time: 18:00). Please pay attention since team operations will no longer be allowed after the time.

Submission

Preliminary

  1. The participating team can upload the result file at any time during the competition and each team has 3 times submission a day. The leaderboard will display the ranking in real time.
  2. When two teams are merged, summary of the historical submissions of the each teams must be less than the ‘number of days since start * 3’. Otherwise the teams cannot be merged. Please pay attention to your submission times.

Finals

  1. In Track 2: Proffessional Track, the final stage will begin after preliminary. Players need to submit the models in the platform models page before final deadline.

Intellectual Property

  1. The models and code of winning teams must comply with the GPL v3 agreement and be posted on the website designated by the organizer.
  2. The intellectual property rights of the competition works belong to the winning team. The organizer has the right to use entries r1elated works, team information, related publications and designated, authorized media releases, official website browsing and downloading, exhibitions (including tour exhibitions) and other activities.
  3. The data released by the organizer of this competition is non-public data which is forbidden to be used for any commercial purpose. If you will use the data of competition for scientific research please specify: This data comes from Haihua Institute for Frontier Information Technology.

Other Rules

  1. Open source code or tools are allowed but any unpublished code or tools that require authorization are not allowed.
  2. No external data is allowed.
  3. The code must be open source and free. Players can only open source through the discussion zone and the model function on biendata. Sharing code privately will be considered a violation.
  4. Entries must be original and not infringe any relevant laws of the People’s Republic of China; not infringe any third party intellectual property rights or other relevant rights. In the event of a violation the organizer will cancel the competition results and hold accountable.
